Head of Accounting

Interim Head of Management Accounting - 3-6 months Agora Talent are supporting a multi‑brand consumer business with the appointment of an Interim Head of Management Accounting to join their senior finance team for an initial 3–6 month period. This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for core financial reporting, month‑end delivery and team oversight within a complex, multi‑brand retail environment. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of month‑end close and management reporting, ensuring accuracy, control and adherence to tight deadlines Oversight of revenue, margin, stock, marketing, store portfolio and payroll costs Maintaining integrity of the accounting system, including balance sheet control and cost centre reporting Leading store profitability analysis and performance reporting against KPIs Working closely with Commercial Finance on budgets, forecasts and performance insight Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes and wider compliance deadlines Driving process improvement, automation and simplification across management accounting Leading, mentoring and developing a management accounting team (circa 8 people) Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Strong experience in consumer/retail or multi‑site businesses Proven leadership of accounting or reporting teams in complex environments Hands‑on month‑end and balance sheet ownership Confident stakeholder manager with a practical, delivery‑focused approach This role would suit an experienced interim who is comfortable operating at pace, bringing structure and control while improving ways of working. #J-18808-Ljbffr
