With 120+ employees and an enviable client list, we’re now looking for our first Legal Counsel to take full ownership of legal oversight and risk management across the business.This is a part-time position (around 20 hours across 5 days), ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, variety, and applying their expertise across multiple areas of law in a fast-growing scale-up environment.Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:Ensuring company-wide compliance with GDPR and data protection regulationsReviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts and client termsActing as a trusted advisor across teams, turning legal complexity into clear, practical guidanceDrafting and maintaining employment contracts, policies, and staff handbookSupporting governance, insurance, and intellectual property protections (including trademarks)Advising on legal implications of new product features and business initiativesWe’re looking for someone with:Solicitor qualification in England & Wales (7–10 years PQE)Broad legal experience across commercial, data protection, and employment lawA track record of supporting commercial teams and negotiating client contractsStrong communication skills — able to explain complex legal matters in plain EnglishSound judgment and pragmatism to balance legal risk with commercial agilityProven ability to work independently and make decisions in fast-moving environmentsWe’re offering a competitive salary (pro-rata) plus great benefits, including: A stake in the company: Substantial options scheme to share in the growth you help create????
