Your role as R&D Tax Senior Manager Leading technical and financial discussions with clients to identify qualifying R&D activity Reviewing and signing off technical reports and claim calculations Managing and mentoring a team, developing their skills and confidence Overseeing multiple R&D claims simultaneously, ensuring quality and compliance Working closely with tax colleagues, HMRC and external stakeholders Playing a key role in business development, marketing and thought leadership This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, leadership and commercial growth. What you’ll need to succeed Deep experience in UK R&D tax relief and claim preparation Confidence dealing with senior client stakeholders (MDs, FDs, CEOs, CTOs) Strong people leadership and coaching capability Commercial mindset with an interest in growing fees and opportunities Excellent communication skills – able to simplify complex ideas A proactive, ownership‑driven approach You don’t need to tick every box, but you do need the confidence and capability to operate at senior level.
