Consultant Anaesthetist - Private Hospital

Castlefield are partnering with an independent health group who are looking to appoint a part-time Consultant Anaesthetist to join a close-knit, high-performing clinical team in the midlands. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced NHS Consultant seeking a private practice role, working approximately one day per week. You will be joining a service that places strong emphasis on clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. The team is actively advancing modern care pathways, including day-case major arthroplasty, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes through collaboration and forward-thinking practice. Salary is £32,500 per year (based on a 1 day per week contract) Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective anaesthetic care across a range of procedures Contribute to clinical governance, audit activity, and quality improvement initiatives Participate in multidisciplinary teamwork and departmental meetings Support teaching and development of clinical staff Maintain high standards of patient care in line with organisational and NHS expectations Engage in service development and innovation where appropriate Requirements GMC registration with specialist registration for Anaesthesia Substantive NHS Consultant experience, with at ideally least two years’ practice in the UK Commitment to continuing professional development and revalidation Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality assurance processes Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to service needs Enthusiasm for service improvement and delivering high-quality patient care About Castlefield Recruitment & How to Apply: Castlefield Recruitment is a leading specialist in healthcare recruitment, connecting talented healthcare professionals with exceptional opportunities across the UK.
