Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Salary Range: Typically £40,000–£75,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time or part-time, flexible options available
Rota Types: Consult-only, surgery-focused, first-opinion GP, hospital-based, or mixed rotas
Weekends/OOH: Optional or rota-based depending on the practice

We’re recruiting Veterinary Surgeons across Edinburgh and the surrounding region, partnering with independent practices, established groups, and veterinary hospitals.
Whether you’re seeking a first-opinion GP role , a surgically focused caseload , or a progressive hospital environment , we maintain a consistent pipeline of permanent opportunities to match varied clinical and career ambitions.
Most roles offer flexible rota patterns, ranging from part-time 2–3 day weeks to full-time 4-day arrangements.
Many practices operate with no OOH requirements, and weekend rotas are typically light or optional depending on the clinic.
Typical duties include consultations, diagnostics, routine soft-tissue surgery, dental procedures, imaging interpretation, case management, clinical record-keeping, and client communication. Some positions also offer support for certificate study, structured mentorship, or progression into Senior or Lead Vet roles.
