Digital Marketing Agency
London - Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office
The Head of Affiliates is responsible for the successful management of an established affiliate programme, in line with its clients' acquisition and commercial priorities and targets. Reporting directly to the Director of Affiliates, the Head of Affiliates must be the authority on everything affiliate-related and work to ensure the affiliate management team is continuously and sustainably working towards the overarching goals of the business through a combination of effective planning, best practice usage and outstanding performance management.
The Head of Affiliates will drive the team through an example‑led management style in order to develop a World‑class business unit. Regular, detailed updates regarding performance against OKRs, marketing initiatives and other important information will need to be communicated effectively to a wide audience.
Responsibilities
Ensure that there is sufficient planning in place to achieve targets and, where necessary, play an instrumental role in helping to forecast future performance.
Plan, execute and maintain effective ROI‑driven acquisition activities to drive quality traffic to client brands.
Lead the Affiliates Team by example, encouraging maximum performance and providing support where needed.
Develop strategic marketing initiatives for key affiliate accounts and support affiliate team members with the same.
Work closely with internal business partners (e.g. Business Development, Business Intelligence, Affiliate Operations) to ensure affiliate business needs are met.
Manage regular stakeholder reporting requirements, and ensure that critical marketing insights are timely communicated.
Construct executive‑level reports and presentations that communicate overall marketing results and convey actionable, analytical findings and insights.
Build a strong internal network for collaboration and knowledge transfer with other parts of the business.
Ensure the integrity of the affiliate programme at all times, including the accuracy of data, financial commitments to affiliate partners, and reputation management of clients.
Represent the affiliate programme in senior management meetings.
Encourage team members’ professional development.
Conduct employee performance reviews and manage team calendar.
Skills & Experience
7+ years’ experience in affiliate programme and team management.
Self‑sufficient approach to working – guidance and management will be provided, but autonomy and decisiveness are expected.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the core business metrics and KPIs.
Outstanding communication, leadership and analytical skills.
Strong business development, presentation and negotiation skills.
Very strong grasp of affiliate marketing, including general knowledge of digital marketing (SEM, PPC, ASO, etc.).
Practical experience leading a team of multiple staff members (mix of office‑based and remote).
Ability to organise, track and prioritise multiple projects.
Ability to analyse, interpret and present data and results in engaging, meaningful and productive ways.
