About the Role
Are you ready to lead the way in Cyber Resilience and Data Protection? We’re looking for an experienced cyber leader to join SPEN as the Subject Matter Expert for Cyber and Data Protection risk management. This pivotal role shapes and delivers a vision and strategy that ensures risks are identified, assessed, and managed throughout their lifecycle—covering internal operations and third‑party engagements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Establish governance forums and lead a team of risk, governance, and assurance professionals.
Drive continuous assurance programmes and underpin SPEN’s compliance with regulatory requirements, including NIS.
Influence strategic decisions across the business and collaborate with stakeholders across SPEN, Corporate Security, UKIT, and global teams.
Embed best practices and maintain alignment with international standards.
What You’ll Bring
Deep technical knowledge of cyber security frameworks, regulations, and risk management principles.
Industry‑recognized qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GICSP.
Proven experience developing and delivering cyber risk strategies within complex, global organisations.
Credibility to operate at senior levels.
