Maths Tutor / HLTA Job Type: Part-time (4 days a week, Tues-Fri) Location: Near Horsham Duration: Four weeks starting 29th February Focus: Preferably with a Maths focus We are seeking a dedicated Maths Tutor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong focus on Maths to join our team for a short-term cover. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality educational support and who can engage students effectively in Maths. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging Maths lessons and support to students, ensuring they understand the material and are prepared for any assessments. Work closely with the teaching staff to develop lesson plans and educational materials that meet the curriculum standards. Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and additional support where necessary. Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, encouraging students to actively participate in all activities. Address any individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a teaching or tutoring role with a strong focus on Maths. HLTA status is preferable but not mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
