What’s Available We are currently recruiting for: EYFS ECT roles KS1, Years 1 and 2 KS2, Years 3 to 6 Full‑time long‑term placements Flexible supply roles where you choose your working days Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only. You’ll be placed in supportive Gateshead primary schools with strong behaviour policies, experienced mentors, and collaborative staff teams. What You’ll Be Doing Depending on the role, you could: Take full responsibility for your own class in a long‑term placement Deliver engaging, curriculum‑led lessons Follow established behaviour and safeguarding procedures Work alongside experienced year group teachers Receive regular ECT mentoring and structured feedback Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff You’ll develop confidence in planning, assessment, behaviour management and curriculum delivery in real classroom settings.
