Optometrist – Leading Private Opticians Location: Edinburgh Basic Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus, Relocation Package and Benefits Package: 34 days’ holiday + professional fees paid + exclusive benefits Employment Type: Full Time (37.5 hrs) or Part Time – Flexible working with 2-3 Saturdays per Month About the role Compass Associates are proud to be working with an established independent providers of optical and hearing care. This is an exciting opportunity for a patient-focused Optometrist to join the growing team. With testing times of 30–40 minutes and access to the latest technology, you’ll be able to deliver high-quality primary care while also supporting the branch’s commercial growth. The role suits Optometrists who are passionate about delivering outstanding clinical care, while also playing a key part in developing the branch alongside the management team. The package Competitive salary up to £65,000 , dependent on experience Performance-based branch bonus 34 days annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) GOC registration paid Access to leading designer frames Flexible working patterns, minimal late nights and weekends discount vouchers for spectacles, sunglasses or annual contact lenses per year Generous staff and family discounts Access to high street discounts Career advancement opportunities Being part of a company that truly cares What you’ll be doing Delivering full eye examinations and contact lens checks with 30–40 minute testing times Providing tailored clinical advice and solutions to patients Working with the branch manager and team to grow the practice commercially Supporting the dispensing team with product recommendations (frames and lenses) Ensuring the highest standards of patient care and professional conduct Maintaining GOC standards and CPD requirements What we’re looking for GOC-registered Optometrist Passionate about patient care and committed to delivering outstanding clinical standards Strong communication skills with the ability to build long-term patient relationships Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to supporting branch growth Team player, confident working with a multi-disciplinary team Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of patients and practice Interview process The process is quick and flexible, with virtual interviews available via Teams or in-person if local. Expect a two-stage, informal discussion focusing on your clinical experience and ambitions, with the opportunity to visit the branch before joining.
