Overview of the Position Reporting to: Director of Consulting Organisational Function: Consulting & Delivery Services Job Family: Consulting Services This role will lead the development and delivery of cutting‑edge digital healthcare transformation programmes at SmartCo Future Health which will form part of our Readiness and Optimisation product suite. As strategic leader managing complex transformation programmes, this role will build strong client relationships and deliver measurable improvements in healthcare through technology with a particular emphasis on optimising existing technology. Working closely with our clients to understand their unique challenges and needs, managing the lifecycle of digital transformation programme from strategy and long‑term sustainability. This role will mentor integrated teams, ensure collaboration, knowledge transfer and the achievement of the agreed outcomes to supports the client’s journey towards digital maturity. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Lead and manage multiple digital transformation programmes within the healthcare sector, ensuring alignment with client objectives and strategic priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance on digital transformation strategies, technology adoption, and healthcare innovations. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare digital transformation. Oversee the delivery of high‑quality digital transformation projects that achieve goals and are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Drive cross‑functional teams (including business analysts, technical experts, and change management professionals) to successfully implement transformation initiatives. Ensure the teams work towards ensuring the projects are repeatable and can be productised to sell to other organisations with a repeatable approach that will enhance further the Smart Co Way. Ensure that each project and product has strong case studies and customer endorsement with clear , measurable benefits. Client Partnership & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with client executives, ensuring alignment between client needs and the transformation solutions being delivered. Engage with key stakeholders across client organisations, ensuring buy‑in and effective communication throughout the programme. Ensure that client teams are fully supported, coached, and empowered throughout the programme. Knowledge Transfer & Sustainable Transformation Implement strategies that ensure knowledge transfer to client teams, equipping them with the skills and tools to sustain the transformation efforts post‑programme. Lead training and development programmes for client staff to increase digital literacy and facilitate long‑term organisational change. Work with clients to develop governance frameworks that support ongoing innovation and digital capabilities. Innovation & Thought Leadership Contribute to the development of SmartCo Future Health’s thought leadership in the digital healthcare transformation space. Participate in the creation of new methodologies, frameworks, and tools that can be leveraged across multiple client engagements. Advocate for the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions that drive value for healthcare organisations. Skills & Characteristics Previous Experience Experience in managing and leading large‑scale digital transformation programmes within the healthcare sector. Extensive experience in managing programmes that integrate technology, people and process changes to improve healthcare delivery. Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, including regulatory frameworks, healthcare technology trends and the evolving digital landscape. Experience of productising and Value stream mapping and demonstrate an understanding of how this can be applied to Health care and the productivity agenda Leadership & Management Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and manage senior‑level client relationships. Ability to effectively navigate complex organisational structures, manage competing priorities and align teams towards common goals. Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions. Strategic & Commercial Strong commercial understanding with experience managing budgets, contracts and delivering against financial KPIs. Experience in preparing and presenting high‑level reports and business cases to C‑suite stakeholders. Technical Expertise Strong understanding of digital technologies and their application in healthcare, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Microsoft applications, AI in healthcare, data analytics and cloud‑based healthcare solutions. Familiarity with Agile, Lean and other programme and project management methodologies as applied to digital transformation. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
