Senior Software Developer

Your role as Senior Software Developer
As a Senior Software Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust software solutions that support complex, business‑critical processes. You take full ownership of the applications you build, ensuring quality, continuity, security, and maintainability. This includes long‑term maintenance, stability, and continuous improvement. We are currently transitioning from Windows‑based applications to modern, web‑based solutions, while maintaining and improving a complex legacy landscape that is essential to daily operations. You will work on software that is used every day, where correctness, reliability, and deep domain understanding are crucial. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you play an active coaching role within the team. You support junior developers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and constructive feedback, helping to raise the overall technical maturity of the team. You collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, fellow developers, and IT stakeholders, and report to the IT Manager.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business‑critical processes
Help decouple the existing codebase through API layers and clear architectural separation
Translate business needs into sustainable, scalable technical solutions
Support the Tech Lead in technical decision‑making
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Coach and mentor junior developers
Improve code quality, structure, and development best practices
Contribute to refactoring and technical improvements
Document systems and infrastructure to ensure knowledge continuity
Resolve complex technical or user‑related issues
Participate actively in scrum ceremonies, providing technical insight and helping the team refine processes
What do you bring to the table?
You have 5–8 years of experience as a software developer and operate at a bachelor’s level, demonstrated through your education and/or relevant professional experience. You have experience or a strong interest in designing layered architectures, such as the separation of UI, APIs, and business logic. You have proven experience working with junior developers and can analyse complex problems, translating them into clear, practical solutions. With patience, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic mindset, you combine high quality standards with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for both software and outcomes. You are proactive, reliable, and team‑oriented.
Required:
Strong experience with C# / .NET.
Nice to have:
Experience with WPF, web applications, backend services, or Blazor; familiarity with Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and version control; experience with legacy codebases and API‑based architectures; and exposure to regulated or process‑driven environments, such as logistics or customs.
