Automation Engineer

Recruitment Specialist - Permanent Vacancies - Mechanical Engineering at g2 Recruitment Solutions G2 is working with an exciting client in the North Holland region who currently requires an Automation Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. The client works on automated machine and equipment manufacturing projects for multiple industries including Food, Beverage, and Chemical, among others.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and write PLC code for turnkey automation projects.

Integrate and test PLC, DCS, and HMI systems.

Commission and troubleshoot automation equipment from project inception to hand‑over.

Use Siemens PCS7 throughout all stages of the project.

Required Skills/Experience:

Background in Automation/PLC Engineering

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field

Hands‑on experience writing, developing, integrating, and commissioning PLC, DCS or HMI systems

Proficiency with Siemens PCS7 (essential)

English speaking essential; Dutch beneficial but not required
