(40 hours per week). What the job involves

As an Electrical Engineer you are involved early in the design of our offshore systems. The Electrical Engineering group consists of five engineers who work with Mechanical, Hydraulic and Software Engineers on the design and architecture of the machines. The team has high technical knowledge and is closely involved with build and long-term maintenance. We are continually innovating our products, with topics like safety, energy transition, AI and cybersecurity receiving increasing attention. What will you do? You develop the electrical/control concept into a detailed design (schematics and bill of materials), considering product requirements. You design control systems, select appropriate components and advise and assist the Commissioning Engineers during commissioning. Typical responsibilities: Technically design solutions that meet requirements, standards and functional specifications of the product; System validation against defined criteria; Report and advise on technical solutions while often working on multiple products; Keep up-to-date with developments in your field and market offerings; Conduct technical investigations; Prepare and update technical documentation; Answer questions during design, production, assembly, testing, installation and service; Multidisciplinary collaboration in product concept development. What we expect from you

A completed HBO or MBO education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Affinity with heavy machinery construction and/or maritime technology; Experience with electrical calculations (e.g., electric motors, short-circuit strength) or willingness to develop this knowledge; Pragmatic and solution-oriented; Proactive and independent; Good communication skills in Dutch and English (spoken and written); Knowledge and work experience with EPLAN is a plus.
