Data Scientist

Amsterdam (1 day per week in the office)

AI Connect are partnering with a well‑known, purpose‑led organisation to help them hire a Data Scientist to support their marketing strategy. This role sits within a highly collaborative Data Science team where your work will directly influence customer acquisition, marketing effectiveness, and return on investment.

You’ll focus on understanding what really drives performance across online and offline marketing channels, using robust statistical and probabilistic techniques to inform smarter, more cost‑effective decision‑making.

What You’ll Do / Technical Skills

Build and apply advanced statistical and probabilistic models to assess marketing performance and customer behaviour.

Use techniques such as Bayesian methods, Monte Carlo simulation, and probabilistic modelling to support forecasting and decision-making.

Develop and improve attribution models and market mix models to understand channel impact and optimise spend.

Analyse marketing effectiveness across digital and non‑digital channels, identifying where investment delivers the strongest ROI.

Support decisions around lowest cost per acquisition, incrementality, and long‑term value.

Confident working with Python and SQL in real‑world analytical environments.

Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex analysis to non‑technical stakeholders.
