Avertim Netherlands is currently looking for an
Engineering
Project Lead
able to assist in the continuous expansion of Avertim’s consulting activities in
Life Sciences . Located in Amsterdam-Zuid, Avertim Netherlands is a trusted partner of the largest players in the Life Sciences sector.
The Engineering Project Lead is responsible for leading and delivering complex engineering and
capital investment projects
within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that projects are executed
safely, on time, within budget , and in full compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
The Project Lead Engineering acts as the primary
technical lead
and is accountable for
scope definition, stakeholder alignment, risk management , and
successful implementation
from concept through commissioning and qualification.
Key responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end execution of
capital and engineering projects
(facility, equipment, utilities, automation).
Define
project scope, timelines, budget , and
resource planning .
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders , including Operations, QA, Validation, MSAT, EHS, Procurement, and external vendors.
Ensure compliance with
GMP, safety regulations, and company engineering standards .
Oversee design reviews, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.
Manage project risks, change controls, and issue resolution.
Drive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with long-term site strategy.
Ensure documentation readiness for inspections and audits.
Monitor project performance through KPIs and reporting to senior leadership.
Your background:
Master’s degree
in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).
8+ years
of working experience, of which
4+ years
in
engineering project management
within a
GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment .
Strong knowledge of
GMP, validation lifecycle, commissioning & qualification (C&Q)
processes.
Experience with utilities, cleanroom environments, process equipment, or automation systems.
Planning & organization plans and organizes own work(load) in an effective way by setting priorities and meeting deadlines;
Communicates with clarity, speaks and writes clearly and to the point; active listener;
Proficiency in
Lean and Six Sigma
methodologies or
Project Management
Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
