Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain critical mechanical systems within our facilities. This role focuses on HVAC, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and other essential building infrastructure in data centres, industrial, or commercial environments.

Core Responsibilities: Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems, including chillers, HVAC/CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and cooling towers. Troubleshoot mechanical faults to ensure continuous facility operations. Conduct inspections, testing, and performance monitoring of mechanical equipment. Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for installations, repairs, and upgrades. Maintain technical documentation, maintenance schedules, and operational reports. Ensure compliance with Dutch safety regulations and company policies. Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to mechanical incidents.

Required Experience, Certifications & Qualifications: Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within facilities, data centres, or industrial environments (3+ years preferred). Vocational or technical education in mechanical engineering (MBO/HBO or equivalent). Local Dutch certifications: VCA – Safety, health, and environmental certification BHV / EHBO – Basic emergency response training Strong knowledge of HVAC, chillers, pumps, and cooling infrastructure. Ability to read mechanical schematics and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication (English required; Dutch preferred).
