Assembly technician - machine building

Are you passionate about working on complex machinery and precision mechanical systems in a production environment? For an innovative and fast-growing machine builder, we are looking for an experienced Assembly Technician who thrives on building highly accurate constructions, from unique custom-built machines to small-series production.

In this role, you will work at the heart of advanced machine manufacturing, assembling high-precision mechanical systems and ensuring every component meets strict quality and performance standards.

You will interpret and work from detailed mechanical and hydraulic drawings, assemble actuators and motion systems, and collaborate closely with engineering to bring sophisticated machines to life.

Your responsibilities

Assemble complex mechanical systems and machine modules based on technical drawings

Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics independently

Install and align actuators, drive systems, motion components, and precision assemblies

Work within tight tolerances using high-precision components and measurement tools

Perform functional checks and mechanical adjustments during assembly

Support testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of machines before delivery

Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams

Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards are consistently met

Your profile

MBO+ level education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or more

Several years of experience in heavy industry, high-tech machine assembly, CNC machinery, or industrial equipment

Strong mechanical insight with practical hands-on assembly skills

Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is a strong advantage

Able to independently read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic drawings

Comfortable working with precision components and strict tolerances

Quality-focused, proactive, and confident taking ownership of complex assemblies

Good command of Dutch or English
