Operations Manager (m/f/d) in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Summary Of The Role As a member of the Packaging Division, you will be responsible for the plant in Maastricht, Netherlands with all operating areas including e.g. supply chain, planning, manufacturing, staging, quality, repair services and distribution. The role focuses also on providing vision, leadership and NBS Next coaching to subordinated employees and teams to create a high-performance culture with an owner-mindset and winning teams. The position reports to the Global Operations Director and includes leadership over roughly 50 people. Role And Responsibilities Overseeing and responsible for the operational organization including planning, manufacturing, assembly, staging, warehouse/logistic, quality and repair services as well as external partners Full assets and plant P&L responsibility for the facility including develop, forecast and management of the budget; initiate and coordinate action plans to drive profitable growth and manage costs Drive operational excellence in order to ensure customer delivery dates, improve relevant KPI’s, reduce waste/costs/OTD/COPQ, enhance product quality Enabling continuous improvement taking into account new manufacturing technologies, organizational forms, manufacturing methods and order to cash processes. Ensure QEHS in the organization as the highest priority Work cross functionally with sales and business Provide vision and leadership, empowering organization to take full functional responsibility and ownership for performance and results Hire, develop and coach the team to meet/exceed operational goals and metrics, create winning teams Responsible for overseeing performance management, talent development, I&D, and training process of the organization Actively implement cellular manufacturing and pulling & kanban system

Skills And Qualifications University degree in Operations, Engineering or similar 10+ years experience and deep understanding in operational processes within manufacturing industry with a focus on growth and operational excellence Leadership experience with a focus on managing high performing operational teams Comprehensive change and project management experience, focus on automatization and digitalization, lean management experience, Six Sigma is essential “Getting things done” attitude and an inclusive leadership style High leadership and coaching skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changes Practical knowledge in management-systems (ISO-9001, ISO-14001 etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English, Dutch, German nice to have) High proficiency in critical technologies (MS Office, SAP, Power BI, CRM tools, etc.) Willingness to travel / relocate within Europe
