3. Role Overview

This site is a major pharmaceutical supply chain and packaging hub where medicines are labelled, assembled, stored, and shipped globally. The workforce is highly diverse, supporting supply chain operations, manufacturing, and clinical research activities.

The Senior Process Improvement Engineer is part of the Operations Excellence function and is responsible for improving the overall performance of labeling and packaging operations. The role focuses on monitoring process performance, identifying trends and deviations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across shopfloor and supporting processes.

You will lead or contribute to business cases for process optimization, new production lines, and mid- to long-term strategic initiatives such as new product introductions and capacity expansion. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities

Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data from multiple sources (qualitative, quantitative, and trend-based).

Monitor process performance and identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.

Ensure processes remain compliant with evolving quality, safety, technical, and regulatory requirements by assessing impacts and proposing solutions.

Translate stakeholder needs into improvement initiatives using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.

Lead and implement selected process improvement projects and initiatives.

Support senior management decision‑making through advanced data analysis and operational subject matter expertise, particularly for long‑term initiatives (e.g. new capabilities or capacity improvements).

Optimize data collection, monitoring, analysis, and visualization methods.

Provide training and guidance to shopfloor change leaders and supporting departments.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent through experience

Proven experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, Performance Improvement, or Operational Excellence within a manufacturing or operations environment

Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated environment (GMP, GDP)

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Experience optimizing internal value streams and end‑to‑end processes

Experience managing and leading improvement or engineering projects

Demonstrated use of structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis)

Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Advanced skills in data analysis and use of digital/analytical tools

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing

Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)

Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as capacity expansion or new product introductions
