Are you a seasoned finance professional with experience in a regulated financial services environment, ready to expand your horizons? Our client is an industry-leading, mission-driven fund based in Amsterdam. This is your chance to join their collaborative and dynamic international team of 40 people representing 25 different nationalities as they scale their exciting operations across Europe.
As the AVP Finance, Reporting & Control , youโll play a pivotal role in building and refining processes, strengthening internal controls, and shaping the framework for operational excellence in a growing organization. This is far from a typical "boxed-in" roleโit's an opportunity to orchestrate a variety of financial and operational responsibilities while collaborating cross-functionally.
The work will be done in close collaboration with the other members of the Finance, Reporting & Control team or as a participant in (or leader of) cross-departmental project or change management teams. Preparing and publishing financial, portfolio, and regulatory reports using MS-Excel and other platforms; extracting the required data sets from the systems using standardized or bespoke queries; resolving the data quality issues that arise.
Performing regular financial, operational, compliance, and IT controls; supporting the incident management and risk control self-assessment processes; Contributing to the onboarding and periodic risk assessment and monitoring of third-party suppliers and service providers.
Processing invoices for timely approval and payment by the accounting team; monitoring accounting entries and tracking actual costs versus budgets; forecasting costs and expenses and supporting the (annual) budgeting process.
Supporting the preparation of unaudited and audited (annual) financial statements and disclosures; answering queries from the financial and operational auditors; keeping up to date the financial and other data in the Fundโs prospectus.
Supporting the new product development and implementation processes, focusing on the accounting, valuation, operational, system, and control aspects of the new products; Coach junior members of the team
Experience : 4-6+ years in finance, reporting, or compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
Education : A Bachelorโs degree (or higher) in finance, accounting, economics, or business. Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (notably IFRS 9 and 13), with advanced MS Excel skills (VBA/Power Query experience preferable).
