Position Summary
Empowering the team, the Operations Coordinator is a cool‑headed problem‑solver who switches fluidly between tasks. This role effectively communicates with all levels of the organization and customers through multiple mediums and platforms. The Operations Coordinator thrives in an office environment, performing administrative duties and supporting leaders. They are also a hands‑on force with events and promotional efforts, demonstrating flexibility and confidentiality. Support for this role may come from the Operations Director/Manager, National Director, or Head of Marketing and Communications, depending on the team’s size and setup.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provides high‑level administrative support and assistance to assigned leadership and other team members.
Supports Members, Directors, and Ambassadors with any technical issues related to BNI Connect and other networking tools.
Performs clerical and administrative tasks including arranging travel and accommodations for the team, drafting letters, memos, reports, and other documents.
Organizes or supports events and other Member/chapter/Director development activities.
Assists with marketing and promotional efforts for events, trainings and meetings; locally, regionally and nationally.
Collaborates and provides strategic administrative support on strategic initiatives and projects.
Observes, reviews, and analyzes operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made.
Drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function; continually seeks ways to do ‘this’ better.
Performs any additional duties needed to help demonstrate our core values, drive our vision, and fulfill our mission.

Required Qualifications
Two‑year degree or Equivalent Experience
Two or more years of experience in an administrative role supporting senior leadership
Stellar interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Detail‑oriented with good time management skills
Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced, quickly changing environment
Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and exercises independent/sound judgment.
Discretion and confidentiality
Intermediate Excel skill level
Ability to work under pressure.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Full‑time position. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
