Global Operations & Logistics Manager
Amsterdam | Full-time | On-site
About Firemane
Firemane is a global trader and distributor of POS payment terminals and related hardware, supporting customers in over 40 countries, with offices and warehouses in Amsterdam and Atlanta.
For more than 18 years, we have helped partners source, deploy, and manage payment technology through intelligent procurement, global distribution, and inventory expertise. Our large-scale inventory model allows us to respond quickly to market demand, reduce lead times, and create commercial opportunities where others see constraints.
Based in Amsterdam, we operate at the intersection of global trade, technology, and logistics - helping businesses keep payments flowing and operations moving.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware Global Operations & Logistics Manager to lead and optimise the international movement of regulated electronic hardware.
This role is critical in ensuring compliant, cost-efficient, and timely cross-border movement of serialized payment devices and lithium battery-powered equipment. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Sourcing, and our warehouse partners across the globe to create a best-in-class logistics function.
This is not a transactional logistics role - we are looking for someone who can build structure, improve compliance, and bring operational excellence to a fast-growing international hardware business.

Import/Export & Compliance
Manage commercial invoices, HS codes, COO documentation
Oversee customs clearance processes and tariff considerations
Ensure correct documentation for EU, UK, US, LATAM shipments
Collaborate with Finance on landed cost accuracy and duty implications
Operational Control & Reporting
Monitor OTIF (On Time In Full), freight spend, and delivery KPIs
Analyse logistics cost drivers and implement improvements
Identify operational bottlenecks before they escalate
Support continuous process improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with Sales to manage customer delivery expectations
Align with Sourcing on inbound lead times and vendor shipments
Support Finance with accrual visibility and shipment cost tracking
Act as the operational bridge between commercial and warehouse teams
