Product Owner - Master Data

As the Product Manager of Master Data, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, tackling the complex challenge of providing a reliable, single source of truth that powers Picnic's core Master Data. You will own the MDM system and its data model, which underpins many of the core business processes, from consumer-facing apps to supply chain logistics. You will bring your analytical thinking to push the boundaries of end-user value across the business.

Owning master data management product:

Going beyond data storage by designing robust models and scalable systems that reflect real-world operations and serve as a reliable single source of truth for master data

Coordinating across the business:

Working with consumer-facing and supply chain teams to understand their data needs, translating complex processes into elegant solutions that boost productivity

Driving data excellence:

Rolling out best practices for governance and quality, maintaining accessible documentation that defines standard operating procedures and system behavior for all users

Self-sufficient data analysis:

Writing SQL queries to independently extract insights from the Data Warehouse (Snowflake), enabling rapid hypothesis validation and data-driven decision-making without dependencies

Leading with collaboration:

Inspire and partner daily with engineers to deliver solutions that balance technical robustness with user-friendliness, ensuring master data powers seamless operations

Leading with ambition:

Use your relentless determination and grit to take the driver's seat and redefine the puzzle behind a smooth grocery shopping experience

Your superpowers

Master’s degree in Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or an equivalent quantitative study

2-5 years of work experience in a product-led company, ideally experienced with building logistics solutions or MDM systems

Sharp analytical and conceptual thinking, steering decisions on data-driven insights, technical feasibility, and end-user value

Strong technical affinity and comfort working close to systems, code, and data infrastructure - able to speak the language of engineers

Strong communication skills which allow you to convert abstract plans into concrete actions for your team — you can speak both "business" and "tech"

Excellent project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to delivery

Passion for solving competing priorities across multiple business domains

EU citizenship or valid visa to work in the EU
