Working closely with the R&D team, you translate system-level requirements into robust embedded and FPGA software and implementations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Design and develop FPGA and embedded software for camera and imaging systems
Implement real-time data acquisition, sensor control and high-speed image data pipelines
Support integration of image sensors, ISP blocks, illumination control and peripheral interfaces
Translate system-level requirements (latency, throughput, image quality, synchronization) into FPGA and embedded implementations
Collaborate with other members of the R&D team on architectural trade-offs and interface definitions
Develop firmware and low-level software for system bring-up, calibration and production test
Support prototyping, system integration and debugging during development and industrialization
Contribute to documentation, verification and long-term maintainability of embedded and FPGA solutions
We are looking for
You are a hands‑on engineer who enjoys working close to hardware while understanding system‑level performance constraints.
Your profile includes:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience with FPGA development (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, or HLS)
Experience with embedded software development in C/C++
Knowledge of high‑speed data interfaces such as MIPI CSI, LVDS, USB or Ethernet
Experience interfacing with image sensors, cameras, or real‑time data streams
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with system, optical, and hardware engineers
Structured approach to debugging, testing, and documentation
Good command of English and Dutch
Nice to have:
Experience with image signal processing (ISP) pipelines
Experience with calibration, synchronization, or real‑time control systems
Exposure to industrialization, production test, or manufacturing environments
Background in imaging, machine vision, or photonics systems
We offer
A competitive salary depending on experience
25 vacation days and 5 additional leave days (with the option to purchase up to 8 extra days)
The opportunity to work at a highly innovative company where you learn something new every day
An extensive benefits package, including a generous pension plan
