You supports naval architecture-related issues, including on-site assistance.
You review, coordinates, and verifies naval architecture calculations and technical packages prepared by external parties, ensuring full alignment with shipyard standards, project requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
You takes ownership of the weight monitoring process.
You provides technical input for dock plans, launching operations, and transport activities.
You ensures consistency and technical integrity across externally developed naval architecture packages.
You interprets flag state regulations, international codes, and class requirements, translating them into clear and buildable design solutions.
You supports communication and coordination with classification societies and flag administrations.
You assists with surveys, approvals, and regulatory processes throughout the project lifecycle.
You coordinates effectively with internal teams, shipyards, and external stakeholders.
Profile
Do you have what it takes to be a Naval Architect for Superyachts?
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Naval Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in yacht or shipbuilding
Knowledge of superyacht regulations (80m+), international codes, and classification standards is advantage
Experience with large yachts and/or commercial vessels is advantage
Solid understanding of yacht production processes and shipyard constraints

Department Overview
The Mechanical Department consists of approximately 50 employees and is responsible for the installation, connection, and commissioning of all mechanical systems in the engine rooms of newly built superyachts.The team includes a Lead Production, Work Planners, a Technical Team Leader, skilled tradesmen, mechanics, and external contractors. Together, the team ensures that every superyacht delivered meets the highest quality standards and is ready to operate safely and reliably worldwide.In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and co-builders in the Rotterdam region, supporting mechanical installation activities across multiple locations.
ResponsibilitiesLead a team of approximately 10 mechanically trained technicians (permanent and freelance) on board superyachtsCoordinate mechanical activities in areas constructed by co-builders and partner companiesLiaise with subcontractors regarding technical requirements for mechanical system installationPlan, organize, and distribute daily work activitiesEnsure work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to planningCoordinate activities within agreed timelines and budgetsDeploy team members effectively, using individual skills and experienceEnsure all work meets the highest quality standardsEnforce compliance with health and safety regulationsCoach, guide, and develop individual team membersParticipate in daily coordination and start-up meetings for superyacht projects
Cadmatic Hull Designer
We’re looking for an experienced Cadmatic Hull Designer to join a 6-month naval engineering project starting January 2026. You’ll be responsible for detailed hull design and production drawings using Cadmatic, working closely with structural and outfitting teams to ensure everything lines up with yard and class requirements.
