About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented VIE to join our SmartLog RDC team in Helmond. In this position, you will contribute to ensuring smooth order processing, efficient supply chain coordination, and high-quality customer service across a European network. You will collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
As an Order Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall management and execution of customer orders, from order entry to shipment. You will help anticipate and resolve operational issues, support customer inquiries, and ensure that data and documentation remain accurate and up to date. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in supply chain, customer experience, and digital tools within a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Your Main Responsibilities
You will contribute to the daily operations with responsibilities such as:
Managing the processing of incoming orders in coordination with Front Office teams, suppliers, and plants.
Handling customer complaints and requests in line with service level agreements and ensuring effective follow-up.
Monitoring order execution, including delivery creation, shipment follow-up, and full order lifecycle management.
Supporting urgent customer requests, returns, and quality-related investigations.
Analyzing and reporting issues related to inventory, delivery, or sales orders, and providing relevant feedback to customer service teams.
Maintaining and updating the order portfolio, including promised dates, quantities, large order requirements, and change requests.
Preparing customer-required documents such as certificates or export papers when needed.
Proposing and participating in process improvement initiatives.
Ensuring that work areas and operations comply with internal procedures and 5S standards.
Key Interfaces
In this role, you will collaborate with:
Local distribution center teams, including Operations, Quality, Transport, Finance, Safety, and Continuous Improvement.
Front Office, Sales, and Customer Care Centers.
European factories and distribution centers.
Customer Experience teams, digital teams, and support functions across Europe.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome applicants with a
Master's degree
in Business, Logistics, Economics, Transport, or a similar field.
Experience or internships in planning, operations, or customer service are appreciated.
You should have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate across cultures.
Skills and Competencies
We value candidates with:
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM tools.
Interest or experience in data and analytics, digital solutions, or AI tools.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma, WMS, or TMS systems (considered a plus).
Fluency in English; additional languages such as Dutch, German, or French are an advantage but not mandatory.
