Vacancy information

As a Commissioning Engineer Energy Storage, you will be responsible for testing, configuring, and commissioning battery storage systems, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and related technologies. You will work with cutting-edge innovations to ensure safe and efficient system performance, acting as the key technical link between design and fully operational installations at customer sites. Your responsibilities include: Commissioning energy solutions based on design documents and manuals, performing safety checks to meet regulatory standards. Conducting detailed testing on battery storage systems to verify installation and connectivity with the Energy Management System (EMS) using various communication protocols. Measuring battery performance and ensuring synchronization with other energy sources such as solar PV and generators. Performing technical and functional tests to confirm system responsiveness to fluctuating energy demands or power outages. Reading, verifying, and adjusting PLC and SCADA systems to guarantee faultless operation. Maintaining regular communication with project managers and technical teams to ensure timely and smooth project delivery. Acting as the companyโ€™s representative on-site, providing clear explanations and maintaining strong customer communication. Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure compliance with all requirements before final commissioning. Preparing detailed reports after commissioning to document test results and system performance. Training customers on system usage and maintenance, ensuring smooth and long-term operation.

What do you need

You have a structured and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring every project runs smoothly and efficiently. Your systematic approach guarantees optimal system performance and reliable commissioning. What you bring: MBO-4 or higher degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems, understanding their safe testing and maintenance. Experience with battery storage systems is a plus. Familiarity with or willingness to learn about Schneider or ComAp products and communication protocols like Modbus and CAN-bus. Basic knowledge of data acquisition, monitoring software, power analyzers, and data loggers for continuous system measurement and monitoring. Strong problem-solving skills, following structured procedures to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Ability to work within project structures, effectively communicating with clients and technical teams. Candidates must have an EU passport
