Our client is a leading, internationally operating organization delivering large-scale infrastructure projects with significant societal impact. As digitalization accelerates across assets and operations, cybersecurity plays a critical role in ensuring continuity, safety, and resilience.

The organization operates a corporate security function that works closely with IT, architecture teams, and external security service providers to maintain and continuously improve its security posture.

Functie

- Lead and govern the external SOC service provider (MSSP) and monitor SLA performance

- Improve detection, escalation, and incident response processes

- Increase logging coverage within Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR

- Develop and optimize use cases based on MITRE ATT&CK

- Enhance vulnerability management processes and patch compliance

- Establish clear RACI models between Security, IT, and external vendors

- Deliver KPI reporting (MTTD, MTTR, patch compliance) to senior management

- Advise on improvements aligned with ISO 27001 and security governance frameworks

Profiel

A successful SOC LEAD should have:

- Minimum 8 years' experience within Security Operations

- Proven experience managing and governing MSSP relationships

- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR

- Solid knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and use case development

- Experience in vulnerability management and process optimization

- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and security governance frameworks

- CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications preferred

- Fluent in Dutch and English

- Senior-level stakeholder management skills across IT and leadership
