Risk & Permanent Control Specialist

For one of our clients, an international player within the automotive sector based in Amsterdam Zuidoost, we are looking for a Risk & Permanent Control Specialist. For this role you already must be based in the region of Amsterdam.

As a Risk & Permanent Control Specialist, you ensure that risks within the organization are identified, assessed, and properly managed. You operate in the second line of defense and act as a sparring partner for management and colleagues.

What will you do? Ensure that risks are aligned with the organization’s strategy and growth plans Develop and maintain internal risk models and scoring methodologies Provide insight into risks and monitor the progress of improvement actions Monitor compliance with laws and regulations Provide independent advice on decisions with risk impact Manage and test the business continuity plan Increase risk awareness throughout the organization Contribute to organization-wide projects from a risk perspective

You will report to the Manager Compliance, Risk & Permanent Control & Financial Security.

Who are you? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Accounting, or Business Economics) At least 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within financial services Experience with process improvement and structuring Analytical, accurate, and solution-oriented Independent, proactive, and strong communicator Excellent command of English and preferably some Dutch WFT Consumer Credit certification (including continuing education) is a plus Experience in the automotive sector
