Senior Payment Consultant

Who are you? We are looking to expand the team with an expert payment consultant to lead client projects end‑to‑end in the fast‑growing payments industry. In this role, you will take full ownership of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with client expectations. You will act as the primary point of contact, translate complex inputs into clear deliverables, and advise clients on strategy across the payments ecosystem.

What you’ll do

Advise and guide clients using your payments and fintech expertise, conduct market and technical research and create structured, actionable deliverables (slides, reports and other documents)

Lead and deliver client projects, including managing contractual and commercial aspects

Actively acquire and share subject‑matter expertise in payments and other relevant domains, monitor industry trends, support the company’s marketing effort and mentor juniors

Support business development through proposals and thought leadership

Your profile

5+ years in the payments industry, with a consulting, product, or hybrid background

Proven experience in product and project management

Strong understanding of card and account‑to‑account payments, payment networks and their products, the business of issuers, acquirers and other players in the payments ecosystem

Skilled at turning complex information into clear, executive‑ready insights

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ideally based in The Netherlands
