Senior Accountant

An international manufacturer in Hoofddorp is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the finance department with financial reporting, tax, treasury, and management accounting. This position offers strong growth potential, with opportunities to transition into a Finance Manager role. Ref: KA46811

TYPE: Contract, full-time (initial 1-year contract with potential for permanent employment) WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 SALARY: €65,000 – €75,000 per year, depending on experience START: Flexible, upon mutual agreement LOCATION: Hoofddorp, the Netherlands (Hybrid)

Senior Accountant Main Responsibilities: • Managing daily transactions (AP, AR, cash receipts) • Preparing accurate month-end journal entries and reconciliations • Financial analysis and preparation of reports • Forecasting cash flow and monitoring bank accounts • Supporting treasury functions and liaising with banks • Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards • Supporting annual audits and liaising with external auditors/tax advisors • Collaborating with European offices and outsourced accountancy firms • Assisting the CFO and Financial Controller with projects and administrative tasks • Driving continuous improvement of finance operations and systems

Senior Accountant Ideal Candidate: • Degree in Accounting or HBO+ level education • At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 • Experience with financial software (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) • Familiarity with CIT, VAT, and accounting principles • Excellent communication skills in English and conversational level Dutch • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
