Position Summary
The HR Manager (Part-Time) is responsible for leading and developing the Human Resources function, with a particular focus on supporting an international workforce and aligning people practices with business objectives. Reporting directly to the CFO and working fully from the office, this role plays a critical part in shaping and implementing effective HR strategy, governance, and operations.
The HR Manager owns and drives recruitment strategy, performance management, employee lifecycle processes, and compliance, while ensuring a high-quality employee experience across multiple locations and time zones. The role combines hands-on operational HR with strategic people leadership to support organisational growth and capability in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Talent Acquisition
Develop and implement a proactive recruitment strategy aligned with business priorities and workforce planning
Partner with leadership and hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines
Oversee job postings across multiple regions and platforms, ensuring employer brand consistency
Guide and improve candidate screening, assessment, and interview processes across time zones
Lead and continuously enhance onboarding processes for new hires, including international employees
Ensure recruitment data, metrics, and applicant tracking systems are accurate and used for decision-making
Identify talent market trends and recommend improvements to attract and retain high-quality candidates
Performance Management & People Development
Design, implement, and manage a structured performance management framework
Support managers in setting clear objectives, KPIs, and development plans for their teams
Facilitate performance review cycles (e.g., goal setting, mid-year, year-end reviews)
Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related matters
Support the identification of training and development needs based on performance insights
Promote a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and high performance
Employee Records & HR Administration
Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records for both local and international staff
Oversee the maintenance and integrity of HR systems and personnel data across regions
Manage documentation related to employment changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, leave, terminations)
Act as the primary HR liaison with payroll or global payroll providers, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing
Provide strategic and operational HR support to the CFO as required
International Employee Support
Serve as the main HR point of contact for international employees on people-related matters
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related queries
Oversee and support relocation or mobility processes where applicable
Lead or support cross-border employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
Compliance & Policies
Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, visa regulations, and company policies
Lead the development, maintenance, and updating of HR policies and procedures for a global workforce
Prepare and present HR reports to the CFO, including workforce demographics, headcount, performance trends, and visa status
Monitor and mitigate HR-related risks, ensuring best practices and legal compliance
Visa & Immigration Support
Oversee visa, work permit, and residency permit processes where required
Manage relationships with external immigration providers, lawyers, or relocation agencies
Ensure accurate collection, organization, and storage of immigration documentation
Monitor visa application timelines, renewals, and critical deadlines
Ensure compliance with right-to-work regulations and record-keeping requirements
Provide guidance to employees on visa-related processes when needed
General HR Leadership & Operations
Oversee training coordination, scheduling, and record-keeping
Lead or contribute to HR and people-related projects as directed by the CFO
Continuously improve HR processes, systems, and ways of working
Act as a strategic people partner to leadership, providing insights on workforce planning, engagement, and performance
Foster a professional, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
10+ years’ experience in HR, ideally within a scale-up or high-growth environment
Demonstrated experience leading or shaping HR strategy and people operations
Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (able to work across cultures)
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred:
Experience managing or supporting international employees or global teams
Familiarity with visa or immigration processes
Experience working with HR software and external HR service providers
Solid understanding of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
Experience designing or managing performance management processes
Experience contributing to recruitment strategy or workforce planning
