About the EBMT The EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation which hosts a unique patient registry providing a pool of data to perform studies and assess new trends.

Our mission Save and improve the lives of patients with blood-related disorders.

Your mission Support all aspects of clinical data managementโ€” from CRF design and e-CRF development to data collection, analysis, reporting, and collaboration on publicationsโ€”while ensuring quality, compliance, and team guidance across multiple clinical studies.

Responsibilities and Tasks The main responsibilities are:

Apply study protocols and statistical plans to understand and process data effectively.

Analyze, interpret, and visualize complex data sets.

Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Review and help create study reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.

Integrate data from multiple sources.

Verify your own work and that of others for compliance with procedures.

Help improve data processes within the Clinical Study Unit.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Design and test electronic case report forms (e-CRFs) in EDC systems, including documentation and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Maintain study-related data management documentation in line with regulations and SOPs.

Train and support junior staff and data entry personnel.

Participate in internal and external meetings related to studies.

Support EBMT Registry form development and test new software features.

Review study protocols, assess feasibility, and identify potential issues in study execution.

Requirements

Fluent in English, excellent oral and written skills.

Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

Minimum of a year of experience in data programming, data engineering or data management.

Minimum of a year of daily experience working with R software environment for statistical computing and graphics.

Proficiency in R, SQL (especially PostgreSQL).

Highly detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Skilled in presenting data clearly and accurately, tailored to user needs.

Capable of working with data across a range of quality and validity levels.

Strong analytical thinking, planning, and organizational abilities.

Demonstrates initiative, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Collaborative team player with a professional approach to working with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience working with SQL, Python or other statistical and programming software.

Experience in working with standardized data models, preferably OMOP CDM.

Acquaintance with EDC systems.

Knowledge of data management principles and regulatory requirements for data processing.

Familiarity with OMOP CDM, clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED, LOINC), and healthcare data standards or CDISC CDM terminologies.

Based in Leiden or surroundings - attendance to EBMT offices 2 days per week and working remotely 3 days.

Full-time position (36 hours/week).

Flexible working hours (starting from 8am to 10am and finish accordingly).

1 month probation period; 1 year temporary contract.

25 days of vacation per year.

Salary: 3,220 - 3,546 euros/gross per month (scale 8.0-8.2) depending on experience + end-of-the-year payment and 8% holiday remuneration.

A pension arrangement with the National Civil Pension Fund.

After 1 year of work with us, you will receive a one-off payment of 800 euros gross to help you set up your home office.
