The Position

Senior Software Engineer (Java & Kotlin)

to join our teams and work on client projects in

Zaandam .

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using

Java (11+) and/or Kotlin Architect and implement distributed systems following modern microservices best practices Build and maintain APIs that power internal and external integrations Work with technologies such as Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL to create resilient data-driven systems Deploy and operate services in a cloud environment (Microsoft Azure/AKS) Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable releases Champion automated testing, test-driven development, and observability best practices Integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle to increase productivity and quality Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and platform teams to deliver high-impact features Contribute to technical strategy and continuously improve system architecture and engineering standards

Your profile 6+ years of professional experience as a Java or Kotlin developer Strong hands-on experience with: Java (11+) and/or Kotlin, Microservices architecture and API design and implementation Experience (strong plus) with: Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Event-driven systems Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps culture Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure and AKS Strong focus on testing, test automation, and system observability Practical experience integrating AI tools into your development workflow Experience in retail media and/or SaaS product development is a significant advantage A product mindset and a passion for building exceptional software
