About the Role Our client is a leading civil and construction engineering consultancy with offices across the Netherlands, known for delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Their Amersfoort office is expanding its specialist

Maritime & Water Infrastructure team , and they are seeking a skilled

Structural Modeler

to support the design and delivery of complex nearshore and coastal engineering projects. As a Structural Modeler, you will work closely with engineers, designers, and project leads to produce high-quality 3D models and technical drawings for maritime structures such as

dykes, quays, breakwaters, sluices, dredging works, and coastal protection systems .

Key Responsibilities Develop accurate and detailed 3D models using

Civil 3D

or

Revit

for maritime civil engineering projects. Produce and maintain technical drawings, plans, and documentation in alignment with Dutch engineering standards. Support the design of

dykes, dredging layouts, embankments, coastal structures , and related infrastructure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, hydraulic, and structural engineers. Ensure model quality, consistency, and adherence to BIM procedures. Contribute to project planning, design reviews, and model coordination sessions. Provide input on improving workflows, modelling guidelines, and digital delivery standards.

Required Skills & Experience MBO/HBO degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in

Autodesk Civil 3D

and/or

Revit . Experience working on

water-related or maritime infrastructure projects . Knowledge of

dyke design , embankments, and

dredging operations . Understanding of Dutch design codes and project standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design iterations. Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience with

automation , such as scripting, Dynamo, Python, or parametric modelling. Familiarity with BIM collaboration tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM360). Experience working within large multidisciplinary engineering teams.
