Job Description SGS is seeking a Food and Food Packaging Focused Contract Auditor who will conduct audits at assigned client locations and determine conformance to established standards/schemes around the Southern Africa region for the Food Products Division.

Role focus

FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / BRCGS Auditor

Primary Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Conduct FSSC / ISO 22000 and / or BRCGS audits as per your approved scope.

Generate audit reports of high quality, first time, every time.

Strictly adhere to turn around times.

Communicate findings/results of audits with client site management or representative.

Develop work plans and complete assigned audits within determined timeframe.

Monitor industry trends and identify client needs and champion these within the organization.

Travel, local and international, is required.

Qualifications

Recognized Diploma or Degree in Natural / Food Science or Packaging Technology.

Recognized Lead Auditor training.

High level training in relevant food standards, guidelines, HACCP and regulations.

Additional Information Required Experience & Skills

Minimum of 5 (five) years’ work experience in the food industry in a food safety management role.

Experience performing FSSC / ISO 22000 and / or BRCGS audits (Scheme Registered auditors preferred).

Minimum of 5 GFSI benchmarked audits completed.

Excellent communication skills in English and/or local language (written and verbal).

High computer literacy and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital programs.

Other Requirements

A valid driver license and reliable transportation.

A valid passport and work permit for the country working in.
