Senior Power BI Developer

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service, along with experience integrating data from test management tools such as ALM Octane, Azure DevOps, and Jira. This role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to translate business requirements into impactful dashboards and insights. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Build optimized data models and develop advanced DAX measures for business analytics. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query and other data integration methods. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights. Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Manage datasets, gateways, workspaces, and scheduled refreshes in Power BI Service. Implement and maintain data security standards, including Row-Level Security (RLS). Troubleshoot BI performance issues and provide end-user support and training. Maintain documentation of BI solutions and adhere to governance best practices. Integrate and model data from test management tools such as: ALM Octane Azure DevOps Jira Develop dashboards to monitor and analyze Test KPIs including: Test coverage Execution progress Defect trends Test cycle status Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data analytics. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development. Strong expertise in: Data modeling (star schema, normalization concepts) Advanced DAX calculations Power Query (M language) SQL Experience managing Power BI Service environments (gateways, refresh schedules, workspaces). Solid understanding of data security and governance principles. Experience integrating REST APIs or connecting to DevOps/Test management platforms. Strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder communication ability. Nice to Have Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse). Experience building executive-level dashboards for QA/Test organizations. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
