Backend Developer

to support a major enterprise transformation programme for a global client based in

The Hague . This is a long-term contract opportunity focused on building and scaling high-performance, cloud-native backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect & Develop:

Design and scale high-performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript within a modern microservices architecture. Cloud-Native Integration:

Build API-driven integrations across complex enterprise systems, ensuring seamless communication between platforms. Infrastructure & Deployment:

Work closely with DevOps teams to manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Helm. Best Practices:

Implement and advocate for clean code, robust CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD/GitOps), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Collaborate:

Act as a technical expert within an Agile environment, contributing to architectural decisions and resolving complex technical bottlenecks.

Technical Requirements:

Core Engineering:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development. Languages & Frameworks:

Expert proficiency in

Node.js

and

TypeScript . Deep experience with

NestJS

(or similar frameworks like Fastify) is highly advantageous. Cloud & Containers:

Strong hands-on experience with

AWS

(specifically EKS and Secrets Manager) and

Kubernetes . DevOps Tools:

Practical knowledge of

Docker, Helm, Terraform,

and

GitOps/ArgoCD . Architecture:

Proven experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and enterprise-level system integrations.
