High Tech C# Software Engineer

📍 Netherlands

Productie High Tech Source

Functiebeschrijving

We support a high‑tech manufacturer of advanced industrial systems in hiring a (Senior) Software Engineer – Device Control. You’ll drive the design and development of software components that control complex hardware, working closely with mechatronics and production to deliver reliable, maintainable software from design to production.

What you’ll do Design & implement device control components for complex mechatronic equipment (sensors, actuators, motion). Own the end‑to‑end development cycle: design, implementation, testing, integration, and production release. Write high‑quality, testable, and efficient code (primarily C#; Python where appropriate). Collaborate with mechatronics, production, and software peers to ensure robust integration. Support production and field teams by troubleshooting and improving diagnostic tooling/logging. Contribute to continuous improvement (code reviews, refactoring, observability, automation). Work independently and as part of a global, cross‑functional team.

Team & ways of working You’ll join a Device Control team within a broader Software group (architecture, machine control, device control, data, integration/support). The culture is collaborative, agile, and hands‑on, with a flat structure and room for initiative and innovation.

What you bring Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or similar. 5+ years of hands‑on software development with strong grounding in design/architecture, testing, and integration. Proficiency in C# (OOP, SOLID) and experience with unit/integration testing. Experience with Windows development for hardware control (device APIs, IO, sensors/actuators, motion). Comfortable with Git and CI/CD practices (e.g., GitLab/GitHub/Azure DevOps). Practical experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira (or similar).

Nice to have Python for tooling, data validation, or integration scripts. Exposure to motion control, embedded, or PLC environments. Knowledge of computer/machine vision, object recognition, or signal processing. Background in industrial automation, robotics, or other high‑precision domains.
