Senior P&O medewerker at Naturalis Biodiversity Center
Ready to use AI to make a real impact on the planet? As front-end developer at Naturalis, you'll build large-scale AI applications that reveal the secrets of biodiversity. Your work supports citizen science and helps track nature across the Netherlands.
As front-end developer
You play a key role in co-designing, building, maintaining and improvement of AI frontend applications
You have ample opportunity to experiment and innovate. Automation of your own work? Your ideas are welcome!
You get plenty of room to connect with colleagues in Naturalis and in our partner organisations, nationally and internationally
This is what you'll be doing
You develop the front-ends of our AI applications for multiple user groups. This includes developing the visual tooling to explore large scale datasets (including the display of relevant metadata), annotate the data, and provide visual integrations with specific biodiversity research infrastructures. Of course you also support end users and product owners in the best possible manner. And together with your team members you run, maintain and improve the applications in the teams’ portfolio.
You’ll play a key role in the user centric approach Naturalis wants to establish. Helping the product owner with gathering user feedback and monitoring user behaviour is part of this role. In collaboration with the designer, you transform UX/UI designs into interactive web applications. And with the back-end developers, you integrate the front and back ends. You also establish design standards and guidelines. And do you enjoy presenting your work not only within your scrum team, but also within Naturalis and with our partners? Go for it!
