Epson Europe B.V. Do you have consolidation experience and enjoy working in a varied international accounting environment? If so we may have the perfect job for you! Epson has an opportunity for a Consolidation/ GL Accountant within the European Finance & Control division. As a member of the Epson European consolidation team this role is responsible for the monthly consolidation process, and other accounting tasks. The position is based from Amsterdam working on a hybrid basis of 2 days in the office 3 WFH. The initial contract for this position will be one year. What you will do: Consolidation: Reconciliation of the Intercompany trade receivables and trade payables (including posting manual entries in SAP, if necessary) with other Epson group companies and summarize the information for Group reporting Contribute to the monthly J-SOX compliant group consolidation process and controls under tight reporting deadlines towards HQ in Japan Review and analyse data submissions by Epson companies and make enquiries regarding the noted variations in reported figures Initial preparation of the management reports for actual consolidated statements od Epson companies Participate in ad hoc projects Suggest continuing improvements to processes and reports and secure J-SOX compliancy Act as a support and backup for other Consolidation team members in their absence. G/L Accountant: Accurate and timely accounting and reporting of the following in SAP based on IFRS requirements (This includes creating, posting, monitoring, reversing documents, and account reconciliations): Create the chargeable Intercompany invoices for the European region in SAP Fix the blocked intercompany invoices in SAP from Epson Group companies Liaise with Accounts payable colleagues for the posting of received Intercompany invoices that need to be manually posted Perform Intercompany Netting and Payment confirmations for the other European companies Upload some accounting journals, etc. in SAP (Month-End Closing activity) Prepare balance specifications after month-end closing Prepare information for quarterly external audit for relevant GL accounts Participate in ad hoc projects Acts as backup for the other Intercompany/ GL Accountant Suggest continuing improvements to processes and reports and secure J-SOX compliancy What we ask for: Bachelor/master’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience) Consolidation Intercompany Accounting and GL Accounting experience in a similar role Experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc) Experience with a consolidation reporting tool Knowledge of and experience with reporting according to IFRS Experience with SAP desirable We are keen to hear from you even if you don’t match all listed requirements, but you identify with our brand and passion for innovation.
