The Argent Biodiesel production will be further expanded this year due to commissioning of new Biodiesel plant on our site in Amsterdam, which will double group production capacity. The expansion also brings additional financial complexity with the still improving new glycerine refinery plant and waste water treatment plant. Therefore, the need for a:

Senior Management Accountant Fulltime based in Amsterdam

Main purpose of the job: The main purpose of this job is to produce insightful financial analysis of business performance that can be used to make timely interventions or support commercial decisions. Working as part of the wider finance team, this role will contribute to the production of consolidated reports and regular forecasts of expected outcomes for the Group.

About the job

End-to-end management accounting ownership for the Amsterdam site

Preparation, consolidation, and explanation of monthly management accounts

Stock/inventory control and valuation, ensuring accuracy and visibility

Cost analysis & variance explanations, supporting operational decision-making

Provide financial insights and controls to drive performance improvements

Building the annual budget for nominated departments and securing buy-in from key stakeholders

Meeting with business partners on a regular basis to build successful relationships, resulting in better business knowledge and increased commercial acumen

Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems (Oracle ERP)

About You You recognize yourself in the following competences:

Good communication skills – able to interpret complex financial data and explain it simply.

Evidence of initiative – self-starter, developing new ways of reporting or analysing data.

Analytical skills – comfortable working with large amounts of data from multiple sources.

Interpersonal skills – able to form successful working relationships.

Ability to operate calmly under pressure.

In addition, you have:

Qualified recognised accountancy qualification (CMA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - Master in Accountancy.

5 Years+ Relevant management accounting experience gained in a process manufacturing industry e.g. Costing, Variance analysis, Inventory (Essential).

Experience of working within Chemicals or Oils industry (desirable not essential).
