As a

Health & Safety (H&S) Manager

within our organization, you will have a varied, challenging, and responsible position focused on developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving policies in the areas of

quality, safety, health, and environment (QHSE) . At Riwald, everything revolves around safe and responsible working. In your role, you ensure that colleagues return home safely every day, that we comply with all laws and regulations, and that we live up to our sustainable mission. Safety is not a side issue for us—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Every day we process tons of waste into valuable raw materials, and to do this responsibly, we rely on the knowledge and dedication of a motivated H&S Manager who recognizes risks and improves processes. As H&S Manager, you are the link between policy and practice. You ensure compliance with

safety, health, environmental, and quality standards , and you work closely with colleagues within Riwald Netherlands and ArcelorMittal’s Recycling business unit. You will analyze risks, conduct audits and inspections, propose improvements, and guide colleagues in safe and environmentally conscious working practices. You are also a key sparring partner for

management, operations, and technical teams —someone who connects theory and practice and is visibly present on the work floor. Your Profile

Preferably a completed education or relevant work experience at

MBO/HBO

(vocational or bachelor’s level) in a technical field (e.g., Technical Business Administration, Environmental Science, Integrated Safety / MVK) Affinity with technology (mechanical and process safety); experience in recycling is a plus Analytical, structured, and responsible Strong communication skills; fluent in

Dutch and English

(German is a plus) Present and visible at the Almelo site, working closely with the

management team, operators, Yard & Quality Manager, and Technical Department

to ensure a safe, healthy, and efficient production environment Our Offer
