What You’ll Do
As an Infra Engineer, you’ll ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our IT environment. You’ll collaborate closely with our team of three to maintain and enhance our network, virtual platforms, and systems. You’ll actively participate in Scrum rituals, contribute to technical improvements, and help shape the future of our core infrastructure. Hands‑on work is your thing, whether it’s improving processes, solving complex challenges, or building smarter solutions with your teammates, you’ll love making an impact. You’ll also visit data centers as needed and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
Your Responsibilities
Maintain and upgrade network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi)
Manage virtual environments (VMware, AWS, Azure)
Monitor system performance and resolve issues
Handle incident and change management, including patching
Implement and maintain security measures
Support internal teams with technical guidance
Explore containerisation technologies (e.g., Kubernetes)
Keep infrastructure documentation up to date
What You Bring
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewalls
Experience with Microsoft, Linux, and ESXi environments
Hands‑on experience with data center infrastructure and backup solutions
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
Experience with networking and infrastructure tools such as FortiGate, Juniper QFX, Aruba, Arista, VMware (vSphere, Horizon), Pure Storage, and Optical Networks
You are willing and able to participate in a stand‑by (on‑call) rotation outside regular working hours
We offer you
Gross salary: €4,000–€5,500 (40 hours/week, depending on experience)
13th month salary
Summer Fridays off in July and August

Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required. This will be requested after a successful selection round, and costs can be reimbursed after successfully completing the trial period at Budget Thuis.
