Technical Superintendent

An exciting opportunity awaits you in Rotterdam as our next Technical Superintendent! What you’ll do Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of your assigned vessels, in line with international regulations and company standards. Plan and lead maintenance and dry dock projects: from specifications and yard selection to execution, budget control, and close-out. Strengthen compliance and reliability by following up on audits and inspections, ensuring timely corrective actions. Investigate technical failures and incidents, share lessons learned, and support continuous improvement of fleet performance. Optimize lifecycle costs and vessel performance through LO/FO analyses, KPI monitoring, and process improvements. Act as a key link between office and vessel crews, collaborating with external managers, shipyards, class societies and authorities. Coach and guide crew members, supporting a strong safety and engineering culture. What you bring Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field. Proven shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent; seagoing experience in a management position is an advantage. Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and tanker industry standards. Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with excellent communication skills. Proficiency with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), performance platforms, and MS Office. Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
