Rheology Technician
This is a fantastic first step for someone who enjoys
hands-on, practical work
and has a real interest in baking and product quality.
About the role
You’ll join our R&D bakery as part of a supportive and collaborative team, working directly with food technologists to
evaluate the texture and quality of baked goods . This is a practical, lab-based role where precision and attention to detail are key.
You’ll gain valuable experience in product testing, texture analysis, and data reporting, while learning how new bakery products are developed and improved.
Key responsibilities
Conduct texture and physical testing on a range of baked products
Prepare, bake, and analyse samples in the R&D bakery
Record and report results accurately, following defined methods
Support product trials and experiments
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure test procedures are followed correctly
Work closely with R&D colleagues to share findings and support ongoing projects
About you
MBO qualification in Laboratory Science or Food Technology (essential)
Keen to apply your technical training in a practical, food-focused environment
Methodical and detail-oriented, with good record-keeping skills
Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced colleagues
Interest in baking or food science is a strong advantage
