Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Technical Support Engineer professional located in Amsterdam, working in a Financial Services environment. The role involves providing Desktop and Infrastructure Support services to business users, including support for Traders. Daily tasks include providing support for hardware, software, network patching, asset management, and voice/telephony systems. This role also requires Project Management experience given various service related projects need to be successfully managed on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between business units, traders, sales, and technology, with a strong understanding of trade flow fundamentals and excellent communication skills. The team is a blend of desktop and application support, providing front-office assistance to multiple locations of the European branch of the investment bank, supporting users both remotely and on-site.

Role Responsibilities Ensure availability of infrastructure desktop as per agreed Service Level Expectations or requirements by monitoring applications, related jobs and resolving issues Act as first point of contact for Traders and Business users across multiple front-office trading applications developing a strong knowledge of necessary processes Support of the trading floor team, including Rates, Fixed Income, Repo, and FX trading platforms in a client-facing environment Provide a timely and effective response to user queries by analysing, investigating and fixing them as required Work collaboratively with other teams across geographies keeping the business priorities in mind Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical problems and work effectively with product owners to implement long term solution Analyze, prioritize, and troubleshoot functional and technical issues raised by end users Perform initial diagnostics and determine appropriate escalation to development or technical teams Provide clear, timely communication and status updates to business users during issue resolution Ensure incidents are accurately logged, tracked, and documented in line with ITIL-based processes Maintain clear documentation and knowledge articles for recurring issues Support business management and project initiatives, such as system migrations, regulatory changes, process enhancements, and trade floor moves.

Candidate Skills Minimum 5 years experience in Financial Services Support including Trading/Sales desk Understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements Active Directory (user and group management, permissions) Virtual Machines and physical desktop environments (deployment, troubleshooting) Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 Operating Systems Familiarity with ITIL based ticketing systems e.g. ServiceNow Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle from execution to settlement (high-level) Familiarity with market data feeds (e.g. Bloomberg, LSEG Data & Analytics) Project Management capabilities with Agile/Waterfall project experience

Role Specifics

Start Date 01/04/2026 subject to security checks Salary €65,000 per annum Employment benefits including non-contributory pension and commuting allowance 34 days holiday per annum (inclusive of local public holidays)

Working Pattern 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday Shift pattern in place to cover 07:00 to 19:00 each working day, with 3 shifts in total Hybrid working possible based on shift allocation
