About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled
DevTest Engineer
to join our team in Amstelveen. This role focuses on
enhancing and maintaining Java-based applications
with a particular emphasis on
custom test frameworks ,
automation , and
DevOps reliability . You'll work closely with development teams to test, optimize, and potentially redesign a
customized Argo testing framework built in Java
for a fraud detection engine.
This is an exciting opportunity for a
Java test automation expert
who can not only navigate existing frameworks but also
drive improvements, propose new strategies, and elevate overall testing maturity
within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and maintain a
customized Argo testing framework
built in Java.
Propose, evaluate, and implement
new testing frameworks or strategies
to optimize automation and reliability.
Collaborate with developers on
deploying Java (Spring Boot) applications
using CI/CD pipelines.
Improve
test coverage ,
framework performance , and
integration workflows .
Manage and monitor
PostgreSQL
databases.
Administer and optimize
Linux-based systems
and write automation scripts using
Bash .
Support production environments and troubleshoot operational/testing issues.
Act as the
go-to testing expert
within a Java-focused development team.
Technical:
Strong experience in
Java testing frameworks , ideally
Argo-based
or customized variants.
Hands-on knowledge in Java development (Spring Boot) and deployment.
Expertise in
writing/modifying testing frameworks
in Java.
Experience with relational databases, preferably
PostgreSQL .
Solid
Linux system administration
and Bash scripting skills.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset.
Ownership mentality with the ability to work independently and mentor others.
Ability to bridge the gap between
testing, development, and operations .
Familiarity with
Docker/Kubernetes .
Prior experience in testing
fraud detection engines
or high-availability systems.
Ability to
lead testing strategy discussions
and
coach developers on best practices .
