Officier Luchtgevechtsleiding (VWO) – Jobbird.com Location: Uddel, Overijssel, Netherlands.

Responsibilities

Air Surveillance – monitor the Dutch portion of NATO airspace, build accurate air picture using radar systems, and exchange critical information with neighbouring countries.

Fighter Control – identify aircraft that need to be verified, activate fighter control, and dispatch aircraft to engage suspected threats.

Training & Coordination – support pilot training and coordinate aerial combat operations.

Regular participation in domestic and international exercises, including possible deployments.

Qualifications

VWO diploma or attainment of an HBO propedeuse; average grade 5.5 across all subjects, with no more than one 5 as an end‑grade for a core subject.

Junior level mathematics (wiskunde A/B) required with a pass on grade 5.5.

Physical fitness and тун vision requirements (no more than –6 or +5; must be able to swim).

Willingness to complete a 4‑year Military Scientific Education programme at the Dutch Defence Academy.

Training & Career Path Before starting work, complete the 4‑year Military Scientific Education programme at the Dutch Defence Academy. Further specialisation takes place at the Air Operations & Control Station Nieuw Milligen, Uddel.
